2025 has been a year of growth, new offerings, and exciting momentum for Alaska Trailer. From team development to standout customer projects, we’re proud of everything our crew accomplished and grateful for the community that continues to trust us with their hauling, service, and rental needs.
TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Meet Betty, the new shop puppy.
This year, we focused intentionally on how our team members could grow and shine within the company, and it paid off.
One major highlight was Thomas’s move into the General Manager role. After three years with Alaska Trailer and previously serving as Parts and Service Manager, Thomas stepped confidently into new responsibilities. His dedication, calm problem-solving, and genuine care for every customer made this a natural fit. This year, we made it a priority to strengthen our team with talented new members who embody the Alaska Trailer values. A standout addition has been Josh Schenk, our Technician III in Anchorage, along with his trusty sidekick, Heidi (his dog). With over 15 years of welding and fabrication experience, Josh has become a powerhouse in our operations. When he’s around, things hum along like a well-oiled machine; when he’s not, it feels like time stands still.
“I appreciate the ability to solve problems for customers in a niche industry where we do things a little differently,” he said. “I also like the ability to flex and work on any project I have the skills to do, and love working for a small company.”
Another standout this year has been Josh, our Service Technician now in his second year. With 15+ years of welding and fabrication experience, Josh is a powerhouse in the shop. His craftsmanship and love for fixing things have made him an essential part of our operations. If you’ve had service done with us in the past year, chances are he had a hand in it.
And of course, his loyal shop dogs, Heidi and Betty, never miss a shift. Heidi continues her role as official customer greeter, while Betty supervises from the back (with lots of naps in between).
We also welcomed James to the service team. His attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and reliable efficiency have allowed us to take on more service jobs and support a wider area than ever before. We’re grateful to have him on board.
CUSTOMER STORIES

One memorable moment this year came when our team drove out to assess a fabrication job for a potential customer. Their trailer had severe rust and a crack in the frame, a serious issue, but repairable. We inspected the damage, provided a quote, completed the weld, and treated and painted the metal to stop further corrosion. The customer left happy, and we were reminded of why we love what we do: helping Alaskans keep their equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the road.
TOP PERFORMERS IN SALES
This year’s standout was the Norstar Dump Trailer lineup. These heavy-duty trailers are built tougher than many competitors and come at a fair, accessible price. They were a reliable choice for homeowners, contractors, business owners and anyone tackling big projects across the state.
NEW OFFERINGS & SERVICES
As we look ahead to 2026, we’ve expanded several areas of our business to better support Alaskans year-round. Here’s what’s new:
New Inventory
While most of the market focuses on heavy-duty plows, we’re one of the few offering dependable, lighter-weight options suitable for F-150s, Tacomas, and similar pickups. They’re perfect for residential neighborhoods, small parking lots, and everyday winter needs.
We added two new tilt-deck snowmachine trailers, just in time for winter adventures and seasonal hauling needs.
