Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of services provided by Alaska Trailer ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), including trailer sales, trailer rentals, trailer service and repair, parts sales, financing applications, website usage, and related services.
By purchasing, renting, servicing, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
For trailer rentals, all operators must possess a valid driver's license and comply with applicable towing laws.
2. Trailer Sales
2.1 Vehicle Information
Alaska Trailer strives to provide accurate information regarding trailer specifications, pricing, availability, and features. Errors may occur and Alaska Trailer reserves the right to correct pricing or listing errors at any time.
2.2 Deposits
Deposits placed on trailers may be refundable or non-refundable as specified in the sales agreement.
2.3 Ownership Transfer
Ownership transfers only after full payment has been received and all required documentation has been completed.
2.4 Taxes and Fees
Customers are responsible for all applicable taxes, registration fees, title fees, licensing fees, and government charges.
2.5 Used Trailer Sales
Used trailers are sold "AS IS" unless otherwise stated in writing. Alaska Trailer disclaims all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. Trailer Rentals
3.1 Rental Eligibility
Renters and authorized drivers must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Provide accurate identification and contact information.
3.2 Inspection
The renter must inspect the trailer before departure and report any existing damage.
Failure to document pre-existing damage constitutes acceptance of the trailer's condition.
3.3 Authorized Use
Rental trailers may only be operated by authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement.
3.4 Prohibited Use
The trailer may not be used:
- For illegal activities.
- While under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Beyond rated load capacities.
- Off-road unless specifically authorized.
- For subleasing or commercial transport without authorization.
- In a manner inconsistent with manufacturer recommendations.
3.5 Customer Responsibility
The renter is responsible for:
- Proper hitching and safety chain connection.
- Load securement.
- Compliance with towing regulations.
- Damage occurring during the rental period.
3.6 Damage, Loss, and Theft
The renter is financially responsible for:
- Physical damage.
- Tire damage.
- Wheel damage.
- Lost equipment.
- Theft of the trailer.
- Recovery and towing expenses.
3.7 Late Returns
Late returns may result in additional rental charges.
Failure to return rented equipment may result in collection actions, repossession, and legal proceedings.
3.8 Accidents
Any accident involving a rental trailer must be reported immediately.
Customers must cooperate with insurance investigations and provide requested documentation.
4. Trailer Service and Repair
4.1 Repair Authorization
By authorizing service work, the customer authorizes Alaska Trailer to inspect, diagnose, and repair the trailer.
4.2 Estimates
Repair estimates are provided as approximations.
Additional repairs may be required after disassembly or diagnosis.
Alaska Trailer will make reasonable efforts to obtain approval before performing additional work.
4.3 Storage Fees
Trailers not picked up within seven (7) days after repair completion may incur storage charges.
4.4 Abandoned Property
Trailers left beyond the period allowed by applicable law may be considered abandoned and subject to disposal, sale, or lien procedures permitted by law.
4.5 Warranty on Repairs
Any warranty on labor or parts is limited to the specific terms provided on the repair invoice.
5. Parts Sales
All parts sales are subject to availability.
Electrical components, special-order items, and installed parts may be non-returnable.
Returned items must be unused and in original packaging.
6. Financing Applications
Financing approval is determined solely by third-party lenders.
Alaska Trailer does not guarantee financing approval or loan terms.
Customers authorize Alaska Trailer and its financing partners to obtain credit information necessary to evaluate financing applications.
7. Website Use
Users may not:
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems.
- Interfere with website functionality.
- Upload malicious software.
- Violate intellectual property rights.
8. Text Messaging Consent
By providing a mobile phone number, you consent to receive transactional and marketing communications.
Message and data rates may apply.
Consent is not required as a condition of purchase.
You may opt out by replying STOP.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alaska Trailer shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages.
- Consequential damages.
- Lost profits.
- Business interruption.
- Loss of use.
- Loss of data.
- Personal property damage resulting from trailer usage.
Alaska Trailer's maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific service or transaction giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnification
Customers agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alaska Trailer, its owners, employees, affiliates, and agents from claims arising from:
- Improper trailer use.
- Rental violations.
- Towing accidents.
- Overloading.
- Negligent operation.
- Violation of laws or regulations.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
Except where expressly provided in writing, all products and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."
Alaska Trailer disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Alaska.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located within Alaska.
13. Changes to Terms
Alaska Trailer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website.
